AUSTRALIAN BULLDOG ANT (Myrmecia)

Australia is home to this giant ant! We created this 3D model of the bulldog ant with a very simple client description - make a realistic bulldog ant that is reddish-black. We made a high resolution sculpt based on the sketches by our in-house concept artist. After the sculpt was finished, the mesh was then retopologized to make it ideal for rigging and animation.
